During the visit, the LWMC MD talked to the people regarding cleanliness condition and services; he was given a detail briefing on LWMC Compost, Workshop, Landfill and Dumpsite by senior officials. On the occasion, Khalid Nazir stated that providing cleanliness services to the city is one of our top priorities, which cannot be neglected and in parallel to this resolving public complaint without any delay is also on the top of the list. He added that without prompt and effective cooperation of public, alone department cannot achieve its objective.
"The citizens of the city should fulfill their social and moral responsibility regarding cleanliness. Waste should not be littered but should be disposed of properly in the bin. Meanwhile, the LWMC in coordination with district administration and Agahee Foundation (NGO) organised special clean and green awareness drive at Lower Mall, outside Deputy Commissioner Office. Additional Deputy Commissioner Awais Malik and Member of the Punjab Assembly Uzma Qarar kicked off the activity with symbolic broom cleaning of the road. LWMC Head of Communication Jamil Khawar, Head of Agahee Foundation Mubarik Ali, Programme Manager Qamar Iqbal and students took part in the activity.
